As with most fields, students should read carefully to follow the information. Students are encouraged to link concepts to other premises they have experienced to help build an understanding of the essentials and advanced nature of Communication.

Many concepts in Communication Studies are named oddly, so references to help understand can often be found in the text. If not, students should poke around in other sources (and yes, the Internet) to help process difficult ideas or concepts.
