Reading in Special Education

Students can subscribe to a journal in their intended area of expertise and develop a habit of reading it. They may also want to subscribe to electronic versions or sign up for webpage notifications. Continually reading the news or educational literature will keep students abreast of current situations and topics.

Look for credible, well-known sources of information. Be cautious of the motive behind some information presented, questioning funding or backing of some research and ideas.
